Darn it!
<br>One senior Umass Prof. said to me the other day, "so sad we are in the same situation", I asked why and he said, "my country is invading Iraq, and now your country is invading Tibet". I was furious, and told him Tibet is and has been a part of China for many centuries. He later on said, "since it is causing so much trouble, why don't you let it go?" I simply asked, "if CA or TX wants to be independent from the USA, will you let it go ?" He hesitated and said, "well, maybe we can let Porto Rico go". FT!!!!
Western Media has been distorting the facts and misleadig the public, making them believe that Tibet was independent. I would suggest that our emphasis be laid on the fact that Xizang is a part of China, and that it is the history and reality of the situation in China.
