Dell plans to hire 500 engineers in Central Texas

AUSTIN — Computer maker Dell Inc. plans to hire another 500 engineers to work in its Central Texas product development operations, founder and Chairman Michael Dell announced today.

Dell joined Gov. Rick Perry at the Texas Capitol to announce the company would immediately begin hiring new electrical, software and mechanical engineers and program managers.

Dell has 18,000 employees at its Round Rock headquarters and other Austin-area locations.

The company has been battered recently by a recall of 4.1 million potentially flammable notebook batteries made by Sony Corp. and by disappointing earnings. Two weeks ago, the company delayed filing its second-quarter financial report and suspended its share repurchase program because of an ongoing federal accounting probe.

Michael Dell declined to comment on last week's announcement that the company had received a notice from the Nasdaq Stock Market that its late quarterly financial statement has put it out of compliance with the exchange's listing requirements. At the time, the company said it will file the report as quickly as possible and request a hearing before the Nasdaq listing qualification panel.

Shares of Dell rose 29 cents, 1.4 percent, to $21.73 in early afternoon trading on the Nasdaq.

你到过德州吗? 你对德州具体地认知从何而来。。



热！
8月中，凌晨1点多出机场，一股热浪袭来，估计三十多摄氏度的温度，恐怖！


没到过德州，开始对德州的印象就是NBA的德州三强，
毕竟咱要命是火箭的当家球星，可惜休斯顿的人不喜欢看NBA，
搞的观众席一点气氛没有。
对德州别的了解就是据说路上开车撞上一头牛比撞上人的概率大很多。
不知道真的假的，呵呵，假的话别peng我。
还有就是据说德州夏天狠热，不过房子狠便宜，
不管是租还是买，都是不错的。。。
这么多可以了吧。


德州的什么东西都大.地方大,人戴的牛仔帽子更大(至少电影里是这样的).牛脑袋上顶
的牛角大,晚餐盘子里的牛排更大.德州太大了,连旗子都有六面.怪不得德州人管德州叫
"Republic of Texas".

德州好像有一条法律，如果你能很好的利用荒地，若干年（可能是8，9年把）后，土地就归你了。

据说以前有中国人在那里开了个荒地种地，后来就归他了

消息可靠吗？

那里的土地多，是也不奇怪。但开荒的成本可能不化算。

除非德州都归偶， 否则打死偶偶都不去。。。。。
