F2申请驾照 之 SSN申请篇

The Registry requires at least 3 separate forms of identification, which must include proof of:

    *  BIRTHDATE (such as a birth certificate or your passport, I-20 or DS-2019 Form)
    *  SIGNATURE (something they can use to compare/verify your signature, such as a bank card or other ID card), and
    *  RESIDENCE (evidence that you live in Massachusetts: this can include documents such as a rental lease, a bank statement, or some official bill that was mailed/addressed to you locally)

      You will be asked to provide your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER: for individuals on the F-2 visa - cannot get a Social Security Number. It is necessary to APPLY for a Social Security Number and ask for a form which shows that the Social Security Administration denied the request. That form must be submitted to the Registry along with the other documentation indicated above)

地点时间：
Northampton Office （注意，只有每月的第二个周四上午）

81 Conz St, Northampton 01060 (在街的头上，那条街上唯一的一个6层以上的建筑，办公室在一楼右手边)
Open only on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9 to 12:30.
By Car: Follow Route 9 (E) to Northampton; in the center of Northampton, turn left onto Pleasant Street. Drive on Pleasant St. for approximately 1 kilometer. Take a right after Millbank Plaza onto Service Center Road; take another right onto Conz Street. The office is located at 81 Conz Street next to the Daily Hampshire Gazette Building. It is called the Walter Salvo House.
By Bus: Take the Northampton bus from either Haigis Mall on campus or from the center of Amherst. Stay on the bus until you have reached the center of Northampton and get off at the stop across from Thorne's Market. Walk to Pleasant Street and follow the directions described above.


Holyoke Office

By Car: Take 91 South and get off at exit 17. Take a left onto the exit onto route 141. At the second traffic light on 141, you will see a 7-11 store on the left. At this point, bear right at a 45-degree angle and continue on route 141. 141 is now called Appleton Street. Drive down Appleton Street until you reach the third light, then take a left onto High Street. The Social Security office is located at 200 High Street.
By Bus: From Haigis Mall take the PVTA blue bus, #48 towards Northampton, Veteran's Park, Holyoke Mall. Take the bus to the last stop in Holyoke, Veteran's Park. Walk down Hampden Street towards High Street. You will pass Maple St. on your left and High St. will be on your right. Go right onto High St. and the Social Security Office is 200 High Street. The estimated travel time is 45 min. - 1 hr.



Greenfield Office

(Only for those who live in the Greenfield area) Tel: 774-6031 (Open Mon -Fri, 9-4).
By Car: Take 91 North, get off at the Greenfield exit. Once on Main St., take a left onto Chapman St and about a half mile down on your left you will find the office at 1 Arch Place. By Bus: From the Haigis mall, there are two buses a day. The GMTA line bus leaves at 7:45 AM and 4:10 PM. Get off on Main St., Greenfield and follow the directions above.
