German luxury-car maker BMW AG said its auto sales in mainland China rose 56% in the first nine months of the year. The company sold 26,438 vehicles over that period -- 25,740 BMW-branded cars and 698 Minis -- up from 16,999 vehicles a year earlier. In the Greater China region -- comprising the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan -- the company sold 32,817 vehicles in the period, up 39% from a year earlier. Audi AG, Volkswagen AG's premium brand, said last week that its deliveries to China reached 60,467 cars in the first nine months of the year, up 65% from a year earlier.
