HP issue
It's been very annoying since I started to deal with HP. The touchpad on my laptop was not working at all and also very sensitive. Once I click it, the pointer will jump around and can't be controlled. I called HP and was told that I had to send my laptop back to the repair service. A week later, I received my laptop. The problem, however, was not solved. The touchpad still didn't work. I called HP again and was told that I had to send it back. I did.
Good thing is that the touchpad is at least much better than it was before. For whatever reason, the DVD drive was also replaced and it doesn't work. I called HP right away and of course complained about the whole situation. The lady told me that I will expect to receive a new DVD drive in 15 days, since it's not in stock. In that case, I also need to give my credit card number for security reason. I don't feel comfortable about this, so I asked her what the best solution she could give. She finally told me that she would report the situation to the case manager who will call me on Monday. I don't know what he will say this time.by the way, I did ask the lady a simple question:" Do they check to make sure that everyting is working before they send the laptop back to the customer?" Nobody can answer.
ps. I'm reading a book called: <<THE WORLD IS FLAT>>. It talked about the outsourced business in India. I do believe the
person who was talking on the other line is Indian. Cost is a big part in this business, but sometimes, it really took a long time to
solve a simple problem, coz i was always put on hold. Sometimes, we can't hear each other.
