缘起：
由于有了Automatic Visa Revalidation，一切才成为可能。
第一步，获得第三国签证：
加拿大签证
准备材料:
You must provide for yourself, spouse and dependants：
· 申请表 a completed application form *
· 申请费 application fee of $55 USD (single entry), or $110 USD (multiple entry) - certified check or money order - No Personal Checks *（single entry 只是期限短，实际可用之从美国进入加拿大多次 ）
· 有效护照（ 有空白页 ）valid passport or travel document or identity document that guarantees re-entry to the country that issued it with at least one completely blank page *
· 两张护照用照片 two recent passport size photos for each family member (the name and date of birth of the person should be written on the back of each photo) *
· 旅游资金证明 proof of funds available to support yourself and dependants during your stay and to enable you to leave Canada, such as a bank statement, pay stubs or proof of employment or proof of travelers' checks *
· 美国I-94入境卡( 一般订在护照某页 ) your original I-94, and any additional or extended I-94's *
· I-20学生表，请IPO在第三页签名all previous and current US immigration documents (e.g. SEVIS forms I-20 /DS-2019) including a recent signature for travel on page 3 of your I-20 or page 1 of your DS-2019 form and an unexpired F-1 or J-1 U.S. visa stamp in your passport（ this is confusing, just ignore it ） *
· IPO出具的在学证明信 get a letter from International Students Office proving your identity as a student

递交申请:
邮寄：If you wish to submit your application by mail, you should include a prepaid, self-addressed return envelope ( we suggest U.S. Postal Express/Priority ). No Courier Services
Complete both Express Mailing labels, take to the nearest U.S. Post Office, and pay for postage on both the outgoing and return envelope, with enclosures.

从寄出到收回一般9天左右
亲往：
从01002出发的路线，早上8:00am开门，最晚10:00am交表，一般9:00am到足可确保当天取。

墨西哥签证：
鉴于站长生活在东北部，此部分有待完善，先参考这个。

第二步，获得美国签证（ 主要针对从加拿大 ）：

一般需提前一个月，因为早上更新数据库，往往会有slot空出，下面是10月一次测试结果，时间为预约所需提前量。
Canada: Toronto 1.5 month, Montreal 1.0 month, Ottawa 1.0 month, Quebec 0.5 month, Vancouver 0.5 month, Halifax 0.5 month, Calgary 7 days,
Mexico: CJ 1.5-2 month, TJ 1.0 month, Nogales 20 days, Montamoros 7 days, Nuevo Laredo 7 days

2．准备材料：
F1 Student
· I-20学生表, 上面有近期IPO的签名Form I-20/DS-2019, valid and endorsed for re-entry by Foreign Student Advisor ( signature ).
· 三个申请表 Form DS-156, DS-157 ( for male applicants aged 16-45 ), DS-158
· Funding证明 导师证明信, 工资合同均可 Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in the U.S
· 证明信 系里秘书开具一封，good standing学生云云 ，IPO写类似一封信，希望给予签证等。 Documents substantiating previous legal status in the U.S.
· Confirmation letter 预约后会收到
· 现金100美刀
· 护照 valid passport （ 旧护照也要带 ）
· 照片2张 2X2 inches， color on a white/light background, showing full face, no head covering.
以下材料非必需：
· bank statement
· pay check
· 会议邀请信，注册信息等证明
· 成绩单（ 如未索要，不必主动给 ）
· 下学期注册证明
· Evidence of ties to the home country ( 这个就是人有多大胆，地有多大产了，建议如果不是易被据人群不必准备 )
F2 和J1/2 Student
3．去签证
Directions: Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec city, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, CJ, TJ
交通工具：租车， greyhound, peterpan
住宿： 旅馆, 住dorm ( super便宜 )
带现金100－200美刀，银行可以换加圆，多数地方可用信用卡。

正好这学期需要去加拿大续签了，8错8错
