Umass support H1 for postdoc or not?
I had an interview last week in Dr.Lovley's lab and I just got the offer for postdoc.But it seems like they don't want to give me H1 visa. They told me it's university's rule.I just wan to know it's true or not.Thank yo uso much for the help!

Of course,not university rule, A lot of postdoc here got H1, some got J1 first, and transfer later.
反正学校postdoc的H1也不占名额，估计都是老板嫌麻烦。

从中国过来是不给办的。 但是你已经在美国了，就看你原来的身份。如果是H1，H4, F1好像都是可以的

Just talked to them and they want me have the J1 first, then.......Feel so bad....

你在美国了最好不要拿J1.这样以后你要转成H1会有很多麻烦，还要申请waiver什么的。
