问两个问题
车开的好好的，也没什么问题，就是ermergency brake的那个灯总亮，去修车前问问，有人碰到过这种事儿吗？
还有突然发现gas mileage变得很低，以前高速上面可以接近40mile/gallon，现在好象30都很勉强了。奇怪。

那可能就是emergency brake一直刹着，所以有很大阻力，降低了mpg

嗯，有可能是同一个问题，虽然觉得emergency brake放下来是好好的，还是赶紧去查查了。多谢dongdong。

Check brake fluid, probably low
MPG is usually lower in winter, especially for short trips.

我也来说说吧。
如果 brake fluid漏了，刹车的空程会有变化的。当然，最后还是能刹住。
还有，冬天耗油一些正常。
可以看看轮胎气压如何。
最后好奇问一下。什么车能开40mpg?

问题就是开的时候感觉并没有什么不同，刹车也没有任何问题，轮胎是刚换的，而且换轮胎前后也是一样。
车是Chevy的Prizm，小车，加一次油只有11加仑多点儿，高速mileage很高，可以跑两次Boston（也是冬天）。
希望只是个小问题。

If it is just the brake fluid, not a big deal. Adding a little bit would be enough.

The most likely reason for brake light to be on is low brake fluid. It does not have to mean emergency brake is not released.

我在国内的时候，也遇到过油箱指示的不准的问题。如果在某一段时间，油箱指示时上时下，那就是油箱里的飘坏了。这个问题不大，找个机会换一个就可以了。

The sensor can only tell how depth the oil in your tank is.
So, if you drive your car on a slope. The gas meter is not accurate.

谢谢Ao和Zoomass，这两天暖起来，brake灯就灭了，我看了一下brake fluid，居然恢复到正常水平线了，看来就是个简单的热胀冷缩。
Gas mileage的变化好象还是不太清楚原因，该做coolant flush和这个有关系吗？

also, it could be the brake itself, did you hear anything suspicious while driving?
if this problem comes back, you might want to have your brakes checked.

No, and that's the wierd part -- there is nothing different with the driving.
