Photography Exhibition
Some of you know that Dick Wilkie is a well-known photographer -- over 1000 of his pictures have appeared in magazines, books & newspapers, all over the world. Right now, there's a wonderful exhibition of Dick's photos in Northampton. It's entitled: "Qualities of Light, & Visions of Place" & shows beautiful color images of places Dick has visited, and people he has photographed, all over the world. His photos of villagers in Argentina capture the stillness and solitude of life there in the 1960s, when Dick began his long-term studies of rural-urban migration, near Buenos Aires. I highly recommend it.
Location:
Northampton Center for the Arts (3rd Floor), 17 New South Street , Northampton
[across from the Smith College side of the Academy of Music].
You can go there by taking Bus 43 and getting off before the last stop.
Show times are: Tues-Fri, 11-4pm & Friday evenings, 5.30pm-7pm (there's a jazz concert there too afterwards!).
Entry is free.

googling with "Dick Wilkie" returns nothing. Can you post a link to Dick's website or some sort of biography?

He is a professional geographer instead of a photographer, a professor of my dept.
