Project: Wishes From Abroad
• Project details:
Wishes From Abroad is composed by two basic elements:
1. Wishes & handprint & signatures
2. Photos & videos.
BOOVO plans to partner with more than 100 overseas Chinese student organizations within universities in countries such as United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Partner student organizations will need to prepare a long white cloth which will be used to let people write their wishes and signatures on.
After collecting wishes and signatures, partner student organizations will send cloths to the assigned Consulates-General of China in their areas. The Consulate-General of China will then put all cloths together and send them as a gift to the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) so as to express the goodwill from people outside China.
Suggest to do list for student organization leaders:
A. “Wishes & Handprint & Signature”
1. Schedule the time and location for this event. The suggested time is from Feb 1st to April 30th
2. Acquire a long white cloth (Provided by BOOVO)
3. Write your university name on it
4. “Wishes &Handprints &Signature”,
5. Take Photos of the event and attach them on the cloth, and upload photos to www.boo-vo.org
6. Submit this cloth to assigned Consulates-General of China in their areas.
B. “Videos & Photos”
1. Record an at most 5-minute video of the event. Upload this video to www.boo-vo.org and name it “(your university name)”.
Consulates-General of China in above four regions will unite cloths as a whole and send them to The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG). Finally, volunteers of the Beijing Olympics will unite those cloths from four regions into a whole cloth, which will probably be hung up in the National Stadium in Beijing.
