记得先验好光，拿着prescription就可以去所有保险cover的地方配眼镜了，holyoke mall有好几家

先去了有人推荐过的lenscrafter，各种名牌的镜架都很多，也不算太贵。挑好镜架之后一quote，发现option价钱真的是贵得离谱。比如超薄(1.67，含UV)原价155，打折后124；AR 125，打折100；transition 140，打折112。建议除非是基本就配一副裸镜，不要去这里

然后去sears，发现门口有个$99(up to 120的镜架，含镜片价)眼镜，50% off options的广告。问了一下，不能和保险合用，所以120的deduction就没有了，但是所有的option都是50%而不是80%，而且原价和学校的差不多。如果有需要加很贵的option或者没有保险的，应该是比较合算的，promotion六月底截止

下一个去target，就随便问了一下transition的价格，给我报了个200多，就没有再问了

还有开始去JCPenny看了一眼，男士的镜架款式太少，所以没有问价

最后有一家叫sterling optical的没有找到，可能不在mall里

总体来说，如果需要的option不是很多，还是在学校配比较合算。如果想要一副漂亮镜架，镜片就是最基本的，建议去lenscrafter，服务真的很好。度数比较高又想加transition之类很贵的option的，sears应该不错，只是保险就用不上了

我估计最后还是去学校配，不过感觉sears的50%用不上还是挺可惜的

The way visual insurance works is that the insurance companies have a deal with optics provider. That's why they won't combine discounts and insurance.

俺有同事在NorthHampton配的好象还不错。不过option的部分他也自掏了100多刀。
还是国内的镜片好啊。

I also got my prescription sunglasses from UHS today. My experience is quite good. The frame is Anne Klein, I only need to pay $7 extra for the frame. And then polarized lens PLUS lens copay cost me around $70. I think it's reasonable.

I was also advised to have thinner lens, but I decided not to so that I don't need to pay $60 extra. The glasses turned out ok, not as thick as she described or what I imagined.
