偶那会儿去interview的时候坐taxi, 土啊， 居然不知道小费给多少， 这不是住乡下没打过的么， 不过偶反正是可以报销， 偶就大把给小费， 大概给了应该给的三四倍， 司机笑的一朵花儿似的。。。

现在除了给吃饭的小费，或住旅馆的小费

心中有数之外，

其它的都有点纳闷，是不是给多啦

上次从NYC拖了150mile拖车回来

给了$25小费，当时偶心里想着肯定是给多了

不过现在按这个表看来，只不过是high end而已

毕竟是一路顺顺当当回家了

比起what could have happen好多了

记这么多累不累啊。还是亚洲国家服务好，也不收小费。多好啊。



在美国呆这么多年，欧对小费也还不是搞得特别清楚。

我记得我刚到UMass参加CandidateWeek的时候，和一个老美share一个hotel rooom,我问他要不要在枕头底下放点小费。他说没有听说过啊。



在Subway和RaosCoffee这种点的柜台上经常可以看到一个收小费的罐子。我以前问过roommate是不是要给他们留小费，他毫不犹豫地说，no, they make enough money.赫赫。不过他在餐馆里吃饭的小费一般留得巨大方，都在20%以上。



看了这个表，第一次知道找AAA撬锁也要给小费的，这么多名目，哎呀头疼



看看这个Hotel的小费列表，靠，快要比房价贵了。



Hotel

chambermaid         $5 a night minimum. More if long stays (over a week) Consider $7 to $9 a night.

room service waiter         15% of bill

bellhop          $10 for bringing  you to your room with luggage; $5 dollars for opening and showing the room

lobby attendant         none for opening door or calling taxi from stand; $1 dollar or more for help with luggage or finding a taxi on the street

desk clerk         none unless special service is given during long stay; then, $5

concierge         $5-$10 Average. More for special services or favors

这些都是你用了他们的service才用给的吧

room service就好像是restraunt的waiter，应该的吧

小费的目的是不是为了更好的服务？

我怎么觉得中国就是不付小费服务都那莫的好，呵呵

没看到那厮说50~60年代美国这里也是good old times

試過在大陸給tips, 服務員也不收。

bagger         $1 or more per bag



???  I don't think people would give tips to those packing your bags in Big Y or S&S

我倒觉得小费更是一个文化问题。日本的服务业发展得不错，但是好像也不收小费。

其他西方国家很多也不给小费的，向德国之类。记得以前在飞机上看到过一本杂志介绍那些国家给小费，那些不给。



规矩太多，累得慌。

在国内从没给过小费。。。再过一个多月就要开始给小费了，心里真不是个滋味！
