I filed the federal one for 2006 a few days ago (include 1040NR-ER, 8843, plus my W-2 and 1042-S)
I checked the Tax board of mitbbs but didn't find many talks about the state TAx return. Anyone knows what forms I should fill and how many documents shoud be filed? thanks

Yes. I filed extension for federal. Not sure for state
I just called them and was told I still can file it.

look at this:

Automatic Extension Granted if 100% Tax Due is Paid
by Tax Return Due Date
If line 3 of the worksheet below is “0” and 100% of the tax due for 2006
has been paid through:
? withholding;
? timely estimated payments of tax;
? credits from your 2006 return; and
? a refund from the prior tax year applied to the next year’s tax liability,

其实像我们一般都能退回来税的，不是补交的，不一定要catch up 那个deadline. 随时交都行
