i agree with u and walter. 我听她讲的故事不是全面的...他们在一起看起来很开心...我不是很了解他, 听朋友说, 他会经常自己做一些项链, 耳环之类的东西送给她, 给她惊喜, 她喜欢什么, 他都会尽量满足她...除了时间...我只知道这么多......她也不会经常和我讲细节什么的...我也不会问.....我是真的不想看她一直伤心~

I dont see anything wrong with a guy with his own principles. Tell her to get her own life, find her own agenda. This is not to take revenge on him, but rather just a healthy way of life.

I agree with Chao's point. For a loving relationship to be healthy, both people should have their own success, career, and circle of friends. Sometimes 1 person tends to see the other as the only thing interesting in one's life, it can be very tiring for the other person. I also think that 2 people should inspire each other by their own career, interest or social life. That makes a relationship more sustainable and healthy.
